  • What is SoGEA?

    SoGEA is a product that enables users to purchase a broadband connection without a phone line. It does not allow users to connect to a phone. Anyone that uses an analogue line and wants to continue receiving and making calls will need to have a VoIP application.
  • What is SoGEA Voice?

    SoGEA Voice is the replacement of your phone line. SoGEA Voice will enable you to continue to have voice services.
  • How do I make and receive calls after the ISDN switch off?

    Traditional ISDN and PSTN phone lines will become obsolete after 2025. Anyone using an analogue phone line will have to switch to a VoIP application such as SoGEA Voice to make and receive calls.
  • Where can I find out if my premise can get SoGEA?

    Go to the availability checker to find out if it's available in your area.
  • I can't get SoGEA yet, what are my options for voice services?

    SoGEA is widely available but it is still being rolled out across the UK. If it's not available in your area yet please contact us to discuss your options.
  • When will landlines become obsolete?

    Phone lines will stop working by 2025 when the ISDN and PTSN network is switched off. It is already being phased in and by 2023 you will no longer be able to purchase ISDN or PSTN services.
  • What does the closure mean for me in Salisbury and Mildenhall?

    As BT Openreach modernises its network to IP technology, and upgrades its copper lines to fibre everyone in Salisbury and Mildenhall will see their service switched to full fibre.
  • Can I keep my number?

    Yes, with SoGEA Voice you can keep your number.
